von Garvin | Agree. This is a classic and has great replayability. |

t.y. | A real hidden gem! No initial Pzazz to catch the eye but a very fun and tight scenario to play! Great fun! |

King Billy | Cold Crocodlies is indeed a classic. Not only do you get to play with some unusual weapons (flamethrowing Churchill tanks, Challanger tanks with 17lb guns, 88LL AT guns and JgPz IV, the apparently simple CVP victory conditions impose some tactical decisions on both sides. Every loss the British take means that they must push harder to take the stone building.
A great game that everybody should play as both sides. |

King Billy | All of the "Market Garden" scenarios in tnis Annual were great scenarios. Zon with the Wind has made it to the status of classic, and is often used as a tournament scenario. I have fond memories of firing an 88 into a melee and watching two paratroop squads succumb while my lowly 2nd line squad laughed it off.

t.y. | Indeed a classic must play, so pick up that thompson and move out soldier! (How do you spell 88mm?) |

Faded 8-1 | As clear a distillation of Quality vs Quantity as you'll find. Requires skillful use of range, firelanes, and a fallback defense by the British player. Small, but a thinker. |

t.y. | If you like smash-mouth ASL, here it is!The Germans have to time their assault. Push to hard early and it can be over quickly...too little - too late. |

King Billy | Without doubt, an all tiem favourite. Crazed Japanese charging at the guns of the brave Chinese defenders. I have not seen this one played without someone yelling "BANZAI" at some point!!

t.y. | One of the best ever scenarios (IMHO), normally comes out to a final CC or OVR for the win. |

King Billy | The complete opposite of Cold Crocodiles. There are no fancy tanks, there are three of the most ineffective tanks in the world. There are no AT weapons. There are no elite troops, in fact the standard of squads is as poor as you can get.
The battle of the hopeless.
Still, when these troops get near to each other the game degenerates into a bloodthirsty battle to the death with each side having to be prepared to sacrifice all to win. Ya gotta luv it.

King Billy | Certainly an interesting tactical situation. My view on this game is that it punishes bad choices quickly and severely. Do the wrong thing, even once, and you will see a big swing in the flow of the game. It should be played, and played more than once, to teach discipline and careful play. |
List Comments:
LtDano | Nice list! I've played most of these and would probably play any of them again. |
