Overview:
The 12th SS Panzer Division squared off against the 3rd Canadian Division, the former tasked to cordon off the Normandy bridgehead in the vicinity of Caen. With the assistance of attached Sherman tanks, the 4th Special Services Brigade cleared the villages of Cairon, Lasson and Rosel in swift succession. By the early evening of the 11th of June, a furious hand-to-hand firefight erupted in Rots while Sherman hunted Panther down narrow, tree-lined streets. . .Attacker: British / Canadian (46th Royal Marine Commando and 10th Canadian Armoured Regiment)
