Overview:

"Not So Fast!" - - - On 17th July 1943, troops of the Russian Southern Front launched a powerful offensive against the German 6th Army, behind the Mius. The Soviet preparations had not escaped the notice of the defenders, who nevertheless lacked reserves. The Russian steamroller pushed the Germans aside and succeeded in establishing a firm bridgehead on the west bank of the river. Due to the arrival of reinforcements, including 23rd Panzer Division, the German line held and the situation was stabilized by 22nd July. Both sides paused to lick their wounds, and the Germans awaited the arrival of new SS units, including 2 Panzer Divisions hastily withdrawn from the Kursk sector. On 30th July, the German counter-stroke began. If the Waffen SS faced fierce resistance which caused them heavy losses, this was not the case for the 23rd Panzer Division, which operated to the south and was able to achieve several successes. Indeed it destroyed a Russian regiment thanks to cooperation between its tanks and infantry. The advance then continued in the south, towards the village of Saur Mogilsky. - - - Victory Conditions: The German player wins if they control more buildings than the Russians between rows 12M-12V, while losing at a maximum 15 CVP more than the Russians.
