Overview:
Italian parachuttists from the Folgore division were positioned at the southern end of the El Alamein line,on Himeimat Ridge. The Free French from the 13eme Demi-Brigade de Legion Etrangere which resisted at Bir Hakeim and had been equipped with English weapons, were to attack and take a foothold on the Naqb Rala where one Italian regiment was supposed to be in defense.Attacker: Free French (Elements of 2eme Bataillon, 13eme Demi-Brigade de Legion Etrangere, 1ere Brigade de la France Libre)
