Overview:

Prequel to Scenario T9 'The Niscemi Biscari Highway' in which the two Italian guns were acquired. . . . .In the day of the initial invasion of Sicily, the main task of the U.S. paratroopers dropped the night before the assault, was to slow down or interdict the movement of German troops to the beaches. The 3rd Battalion of the 504th Parachute Regiment had the mission to block any movement along the road Niscemi -Biscari. Just gathered and already in march to Niscemi, the Paratroopers had their first contact with enemy at h 8.00 AM: a few soldiers of Division Livorno, probably waiting for German reinforcements coming from inland, were camped in the country around the highway to Niscemi.
