Overview:

At the beginning of the afternoon, the small town of Askim was taken. The Norwegians were able to evacuate their artillery to the east. All that was left between the German infantry, which made use of improvised motorization, and Mysen were some independent Norwegian MG teams, mounted on trucks. Some artillery was deployed at a distance from the road to try to delay the aggressors’ advance.
